7/6/24 JASON - Race recap from Lincoln Speedway 7/6:
61 cars total in the pits with the toughest competition around! We would draw a 20, which would put us 3rd in the 3rd heat. On the start driver error not realizing just how slick the track actually was. We would go from 3rd and finish 7th. Definitely not what we wanted but being that we never raced there we would learn from it and move to the 1st BMain. We made a few changes to get more comfortable to run around the bottom. We would start 9th in the BMain and come up to 6th to have a left rear shock come off. Not horrible but we didn’t make the show. Definitely wanted to make this show but we learned from it and hopefully Jerry and Scott will have us back again next year!
Thank you to Lincoln Speedway and the Mason Dixon guys! This is something I hope we can continue to build and grow it bigger! Also thank to Kent Weiss who came over to help after traveling with Kyle Reinhardt all week for Pa Speedweek.

I’m proud to announce that for the rest of the season I will be the driver of the Kent Weiss owned RTS 270 micro. Kent a former micro sprint driver himself has a ton of knowledge with these cars. This is a big opportunity for me to continue to grow and learn as a driver. We will hit the track this Friday for the Mason Dixon 270 series for the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial. Come on out and support us in the 5W!
When I’m not in the 5W, I will be back in the seat of the family 88J. Tentatively the next race in the 88J will be at Baps Motor Speedway on June 1st.
Thank you Kent for this opportunity!

For immediate release:
Sunday, October 15th, 2023:
An emergency member meeting was held today, Sunday October 15th to update our club members on the status of Susquehanna Quarter Midget Racing Association. On Thursday, October 12th, the club officers received a final decision from the management of BAPS Motor Speedway that our current track location will be utilized for other racing purposes as of the beginning of 2024. Susquehanna Quarter Midget Racing Association does not currently have a set plan for our racing location in the future, but at this time is open to suggestions on how to continue to provide a safe, fun racing atmosphere for our drivers in the future. We thank Kolten Gouse, Scott Grobrecht, and BAPS Motor Speedway for providing a place for our kids to race since 2019, and look forward to them continuing to provide a home to dirt track racing in central Pennsylvania.

After a lot of thought and consideration we will not be at Linda’s Speedway Friday night. Also we will not be finishing out the year at Linda’s due to issues that we have been having all year long with personnel. If the track would like to speak to Jason directly you should already have his phone number that he has already tried to reach track management. We would have loved to race Friday due to it honoring the great Kevin Gobrecht and out of respect to the family. Good luck to everyone else who will be attending this race.
With that being said we are already preparing for next year, and will review track schedules, and talk with our sponsors on what our plans will be for next year.
Jason is not finished for the 2023 as the team will review tracks schedules for the remaining of the 2023 season. Look for more on Facebook and KlingerRacing.com for when Jason will be hitting the track again in the 88J micro.
9/3/23 Last night we returned to Path Valley Speedway since 2020. The track has definitely changed over the years. We tried a few things some worked and some didn’t. We started 2nd in the heat and finished 3rd. We made some changes for the feature and went the wrong way. We started 7th, on the start we got up to 3rd but it wouldn’t count due to yellow. We would end up finishing 13th, after racing hard with a bunch of drivers who ran us cleanly. It was definitely fun and we will be back again but this time it won’t take 3 years! Thank you to the Mason Dixon series for putting on this race it was fun!
9/1/23 MASON: Finished 1st. Mini dude parked it tonight for his second feature win on the season.
8/25/23 MASON: Mason had a great night. Started 4th. Finished 3rd in tonight’s feature. No problems at all and a huge confidence boosted for mini dude

This weekend for us was a long and very challenging one. Friday night at Linda’s Speedway Jason would find speed and finally get comfortable with the new car but only to have a junked car after another car would run up over his left rear and then flip on top of him. In the heat Jason started 3rd, and finished 2nd but was all over the leader trying to find a way around him. In the feature Jason would start 5 but on the start the right rear tire wouldn’t fire and fell back. Finally after a lap or 2 the car started to come on but he was driven over top of. Jason would restart only to have the top wing fold down, as he was looking at the top wing he would run into the back of the same car he got ran over by. Jason would be sent to the pits for the incident, and end up 19th.
Mason started out slow but got faster in his heat race. Mason would line up 5th and work his way up to 3rd only to be driven over by another car flipping over 3 times. Mason would be ok and ask if we could fix his car and get him back out for the feature. Thank you to everyone, Dave Radabaugh, Kenny Latz, and others that stopped to check on him or lent parts and helped in getting Mason’s car repaired and back out for the feature! Mason would start 7th and work his way up to 3rd only to be taken out two more times and the final accident would bent the right side nerf bar back into his right rear wheel locked it up. Mason would be forced to retire for the night, in 7th.
We are extremely proud of Mason pushing to get back out and finish the race! Mason is definitely a wheel man!
8/20/23 Mason Results: "This kid right here is amazing! He had a nasty flip today in his heat race. Got out of the car, no tears, a thumbs up and walked back to the trailer. With a lot of hard work from many people, Mason’s car was rebuilt. Mason started 7th in his feature and drove up to 3rd where he was involved in another accident. He kept try to rebound but after more contact from another car he had to retired with 2 laps left in his feature due to damage. We can not THANK everyone enough from giving us part for the car, to checking on mason and then checking on the mom."
Mason has truly showed so much maturity today. He just keeps amazing us.

Really long weekend but we definitely learned somethings with Mason. His confidence got hit hard after the Saturday he had. Saturday in the heat he never took a lap after he got hit by 2 cars bending the right rear wheel and popping his chain off. We got it fixed for the feature and again a car got into him popping his chain off, then again, and then finally a third time breaking the master link. He would come back and finish 4th, but he finished the race and did not drop out.
Sunday his confidence was not good going into the day but he started 4th and would finish there. You could tell his confidence was not there when he would run up on the third place car he would back off and not try to get under or push the issue to get around the car. The feature he would start 4th and finish 5th. He did put down a very good line driving around the track but he was not his normal self. We will regroup and come back stronger. We have some parts to order and get his car fixed back up.
Thank you to everyone who helped us out this weekend. Our quarter midget group is second to none when it comes to helping these kids get back on the track!
If I forgot anyone who jumped in to help us I apologize, we all appreciate the help in the hot chute. There were so many people that jumped in right away to help Mason get back out on the track Saturday! Thank you again!
These shots that Steph Jones got of us is what makes all this worth it every week!

Started 3rd in the heat, got taken out at the start. Unable to run heat due to damage then.

I started racing 270s in 2005 and up to last night I never thought I would win a race in this division. I raced them off and on up and till 2014 where I decided to come back full time. I lost my job and took a year off. Came back and ran mid pack at Path Valley and then decided we needed a change. We went to Linda’s to race against the best to improve my driving and learn more. We got 2 cars off of Bob Harron and learned a lot from him! We switched to DBY engines built by one of the best engine builders there is, Kent Weiss. We began to get faster and faster thanks to Bob and Kent. They shared knowledge and pointed us in the right direction night after night. We made mistakes, a ton of them. We got really fast with our 2016 car, and finished 5th in points at Linda’s. We purchased a new car and struggled the first couple nights and as a driver I got into my own head questioning and doubting myself. We went over the entire car found some mistakes and fixed all of them. Thank you to Jake Jones for a bunch of pointers with the car and most importantly tires!
We took a chance and decided to try the changes we made and go to Selinsgrove. We didn’t know what to expect and got some gearing help from Dennis McKeon. The car was fast from hot laps but ran out of gear down the backstretch. We made some changes for the heat starting 6th. On the start the car was hooked up and fast going from 6th to 3rd. 1st and 2nd placed cars were battling which allowed us to gain on them. While making a move to go under 2nd place car the leader and 2nd place cars got together and I nearly missed both cars. We would go on to win the heat race which would line us up stating 2nd in the feature. On the first start the leader caught me off guard going in the middle of 3&4 and pulled away. Yellow came out when a bunch of cars got together, so the start got called back and we would try again. This time he would not catch me off guard and I kept him close and I kept my foot down on the throttle hitting the brakes to stay with him. On the start I would get to the corner first and pulled away. After a few laps I didn’t hear or see any cars close, I began to drive smarter and save the tires entering the corners. I didn’t went to spin the tires too much and burn them off. I had to make the tires last. I began to run down lap cars, I didn’t pull the issue till I saw the first lap car which I knew I had to get around him quick. I went around the lap car with 2 to go and then yellow. Normally I would over think things and mess up on the restart. I kept myself calm, cleaned my tires off, slowed the pass down a little and made my decision where to fire. I launched the car down coming off of 4 and took off. On the start the second place car put his nose under me and then I knew I had to drive harder. With 2 to go I had to put it all out there. I drove the hardest I could but not to spin the tires and won. I never actually saw the checkered flag only the yellow coming back around again for the cool down lap. This was all for fun and I was comfortable again in this seat.
I couldn’t have done this with a bunch of people. Thank you to Katelind Klinger for supporting me to get back into this and going fully into it. My little crew chief Mason Klinger, always telling me to have fun and drive like him! Kevin Messimer who has my back no matter what happens. Matt Trace, Theresa Ziegler and Marty MacDonald for all the support even when I’m done and out. Kent Weiss for always pointing me in the right direction with setup helps and building the best motors for us. Bob Harron for helping me get quicker and quicker. Terry, Charlene, Dennis, Jim, Robby, and Dave at RTS Chassis for all the support over the years getting us what we need and pointing us in the right directions. Dan from DBY Motorsports getting us bad ass fast cylinders, cranks and engine parts! Joe from Precision Hydraulic & Oil for getting us the best gear oil, chain lube, and grease to make sure our cars are well lubricated. Jeff from Wing Dynamics building us our wings and the fast turn around when we junk one. Richie and Chad for making our cars look great on the track. Steph and Jake Jones for always leading us in the right direction when it comes to safety gear, fuel, tires, and other parts! Kevin at Awesome Race Tee’s for working with us getting killer shirt designs. Gary at Fasteners Specialities for product get rod ends, and parts. Tom and Tabitha from Cammac Racing Supply getting us the wheels and parts we need to continue to race. Tim and Garry for always getting us great pictures!

2022 News
11/11/22
The 2022 season has come to an end for us at Klinger Racing. We have already started to prepare for the upcoming 2023 season. Overall it was a very good season for both Mason and Jason.
Mason got his first ever start early in March. Mason showed speed right away and began to turn heads in rookie training. Mason went on to win a total of 3 feature wins and 4 heat wins in the red rookie class, finished on the podium a total of 11 times, and completed in 15 races. Mason showed so much improvement from the start to the end of the season in his rookie year. Plans for Mason are to run BAPS out back track in 2023 with a few stops at other tracks along the way.
Jason decided to run Linda’s Speedway this year for points and would end up finishing 5th, one point behind 4th place. Right out of the box Jason was fast but just couldn’t get luck on his side to breakthrough for a feature win. Jason would finish with a total of 5 heat race wins, finishing in the top 5 4 times, and in the top 10 10 times, would time 3rd quick out of 94 cars at the National Open at Linda’s Speedway and would qualify for every race he entered. Plans for 2023 are to run Linda’s Speedway, and possible stops at other tracks in the area when his work schedules allows.
This year as had its ups and downs but without the following people we could not have been able to do this! Be sure to reach out and thank these people, marketing partners, and businesses! We definitely had the success because of the following. Thank you to Katelind Klinger, Kevin Messimer, Kent Weiss, Mighty Mac Motorsports, Steph & Jake Jones, Dave & Dee Radabaugh, Mike Boyer Racing, Buddy Hines, Dan Russick, Stolz Motorsports, RTS Chassis, Chad Baker, Richie Dodson, Tim Basehore, Garry Ferguson, Jeff Rine, Race Chasing Fund.

A little note from Jason from Saturday’s events…….
I’ve been thinking a lot all day since last night. We had a great car for both nights of the national open. During the start of the feature I went and thought I saw an opening to get around a few cars on the start and totally misjudged the corner hitting the infield tire. Totally all on me and my fault. I then tried to continue to get to at least the fuel stop and then see if we could repair more of the car but it didn’t work that way and I tore up the car up more. It definitely wasn’t the way I wanted this weekend to end. As a driver I always said if I screwed up I would admit my mistakes and I always will. Thank you to everyone that’s has helped us get to where we were this year, it’s been a good year finishing 5th in points against the best of the best when it comes to the 270 division. It’s been truly an honor to go out and time 3rd against the best 94 270 drivers, and even finishing 2nd in a tough heat race locking us onto the National open. I wish it would of turned out better but that’s my fault and it won’t happen again!

Recap!
Mason ran yesterday at BAPS Motor Speedway’s Outback track. He drew a great pill and started on the pole for his heat race. Mason held his line and held off 2nd place to win his first EVER heat race win. I guess Harold bear and lots of “coke fuel” will be in his pit for every race.
Unfortunately rain would hit and his feature was postponed. Mason was in the zone yesterday and was not a happy child with Mother Nature. After some Jersey Mikes (one of his favorite places to eat) the driver calmed down and is ready to try this all again next week.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
2022 National Night Out at BAP’s tomorrow 8/2/2022 at the Touch of Color Flooring stand signing autographs. Balloon animals also Available!!!

Mason finished 3rd in tonight’s feature. He was contending for the lead when he got up to high and spun out. Restarted 4th and ran out of laps.
We could not be any more PROUD of the race car driver he is becoming.

7/2/22
Jason was involved in a crash very early in the race. Credited with 23rd. the car could be worse but we have some work to get done. For now, he must rest due to some minor injuries.
Racing never stops. Loading up for Mason to race today at BAP’s.
7/2/22 Linda's Speedway Results: Heat started 4th finished 5th. Feature started 15th finished 23rd DNF.
6/18/22 Last night at Linda's Speedway we would start 2nd in the first heat and finish 2nd. In the redraw we would draw a 7. Track conditions were extremely dry and hard race track. We would end up holding on to finish 8th. I don’t think we could of last much longer on tires.
6/5/22
This weekend was an extremely busy. Friday night we started on the pole in the first heat race, Jason would hang on to finish 2nd. Coming to the checkers he would smell coolant. We went over the lines, and motor to find a cylinder nut came off the right side of the engine by the intake. After restarting the car with a push off we would notice coolant coming out of the cylinder. We will have to do a leak test on the engine later this week to figure out where it is coming from. Meanwhile all of these was going on, Kate would pull Jason the pole position for the feature. The team was about to call it quits when Mighty Mac Motorsports would tell us to take their engine or car to start the feature so we would not lose points. Something we didn’t want to do but after being convinced by Mighty Mac, Jason would switch a few things around and start 24th giving up the pole position to start the race. Jason would wheel the car up to 10th, avoiding a major accident in turn 1&2. All in all it was a lot of ups and downs for us on Friday night at Linda’s.
After getting home early Saturday morning from Linda’s, Jason and Kate would prepare the engine that we got back but haven’t started yet for the Mason Dixon 270 Racing Series at BAPS Motor Speedway. After working till 3-330am the two would call it quits to get a few overs of sleep. Around 7am Jason, Kate, Kevin, and Mason would work hard till after 9am to finish the swap of the engine. With the first push down the street the engine would turn over and become alive! We can not thank Kent Weiss and DBY Motorsports enough for giving us such great equipment! After getting everything sorted out and cleaned back up we loaded up and took a couple hours of sleep. Then it was off to BAPS Motor Speedway.
The night started out with Jason displaying his car with the 2 Dirt Track Divas stand, thank you to everyone coming over to talk and get a few autographs! Jason would start 4th in Heat 1 and would end up finishing 5th qualifying for the 20 lap feature. With no notes on the new cylinder combo we would make a few adjustments on the car and carburetor to get ready for the feature. Jason would start 13th and would finish 13th. Jason worked his way up thru the field but fell back after the car started getting tight on entry into the corners. Also with being the first race on the new engine combo would be a little too rich on jetting and it took a few laps for the engine to come in. Not a bad night, we will take it and move on to Linda's Speedway this Friday for a time trial show.
Sunday Mason would once again strap back into his quarter midget for the red rookie class. Mason would go out and hot lap the car and line up 3rd for the heat. Mason would notice a problem with the throttle and pulled his car into the hot shoot. We would retire the car finishing 4th. After going over the car we found an issue with the car would fall off when the throttle was pushed down to accelerate. Thank you to Josh Henise for helping us out to change the valve springs! We would also go over the carburetor clean it really well and make a change. The engine seemed to react better to the changes. Mason would then start 4th and finish 4th after being more comfortable and gaining more speed in the car. We all are really proud of how far this little guy has come, what 6 year old kid realize there was something wrong with his engine and pull the car in to get it checked out? Mason will be a force to reckon with when we get this quarter midget stuff figured out!
HUGE shout out to Mighty Mac Motorsports and Makayla Fullerton for not only accomplishing her dream of racing on the big track at BAPS Motor Speedway, but gaining speed beating her times from practice at Baps! You guys are getting it, don’t quit, there will good things coming in the future for you guys!

5/13/22 Linda's Speedway Results: Heat started 5th finished 2nd. Feature started 6th finished 4th.
4/24/22 First race today for Mason on the Outback track at BAPS Motor Speedway. Mason did well for not being in the car in almost a month. Hot laps was a little sketchy but Mini Dude pushed through and had a blast. Heat race Mason would start 4th and finish 4th. Feature Mason would start 3rd finish 3rd. In the feature Mason gained speed the more laps Mini Dude ran. With more seat time Mason will get right up front again like in Rookie Training. We all are so proud of this little guy! Mason did finish the same as Jason in his feature! Not bad with Father and Son finish in the same spot this weekend of racing for both! Thank you to everyone for coming out to support Mini Dude this weekend for his first race! Very special Thank You to Elite Racing Imagery’s Tim Basehore for coming out for a small photo shoot for us and our sponsors, we can’t wait to see the pictures!!! 4/22/22 Linda's Speedway Results: Heat started 5th finished 2nd. Feature started 4th finished 3rd.
4/15/22 Well we started our night with drawing a 54 pill which would put us 8th in the first heat out of 31 cars. We would end up coming up to 4th but the driver had some issues learning to go straight. In the redraw we would draw a 9, lining us for the 24 car field. In the feature the car was perfect, we drove up to 4th passing cars. Battling with 3rd place car the motor made a weird noise and shut off. Come to find out the new cylinder broke in half. Definitely not the way we wanted to start our season out but it’s nothing to hang our heads at. It was another one of those races where we would of loved to see the end of the race to see what happen, but it just wasn’t in our favor last night. We will get things figured out and be back next week for sure. I can’t thank everyone enough who came out to support us and all the sponsors who continue to support us! Feature finished 19th DNF.

The Linda’s National Open is the biggest race in the country for the 270 micro sprints. All the best of the best run this race and win this event. Just to start the A-Main is an accomplishment. Our night on Friday started with 86 of the top 270 drivers signed into the pit area. We would end up making breaking a tooth in the transmission of our primary engine. With the help of Mike Boyer Racing, we switched our engines to our back up motor we haven’t ran in over 3 years. We would go out 10th, and would hit a 12.613 on the first lap and a 12.744 on the second time trial lap. We will end up 27th out of the 86 cars signed in. This would put us 4th in Heat 3, with only 3 drivers transferring to the A-Main. We would end up coming home in 4th which would up putting us into the B-Main. We would give it everything we had to try and transfer into the A-Main, only 5 cars would transfer from the B to the main event. We would end up staying in 3rd and transfer into the A-Main for the National Open 32! We started 27th out of the 30 cars that were lucky enough to make it to the show. Jason would make it up to 15th but on lap 18 on a yellow the motor shut off coming to the fuel stop. After the fuel stop the car started but up only to shut off again, ending our night in the Open and end up finishing 18th. All in all this night turned our season around and really put things on a high note. This has been a dream come true to just make the strong field of 30 for the National Open.

6/10/21 After 15 years the 270cc micro sprints made their return to BAPS Motor Speedway. It was definitely a great showing with 38 micros signed into the pit area. Upon entering the speedway we pulled a 41 pill which would end up having us starting 8th in the 3rd heat. We would end up coming up to 6th but with a caution we would end up getting by the 5th place car and making it to the feature. We line up 19th in the feature only to breaking a bolt in the throttle pedal ending our night early. For the first race of the night we will take it and move on to the next. Overall the car get comfortable and we could move around and find speed. Our next race will be Friday for the first time enter we will be visiting Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover. 2020 News
10/27/20 The 2020 racing season let alone the year has been a VERY trying and unfortunate. The season might of not been the season we wanted but we made gains in our program as a team and learned a lot this year. The year started out very well with the team attending the Racing Xtravaganza show in York, Pa, and the Motorama event and the PA Home & Garden Design Expo at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa. Our team met a bunch of people at all 3 events and had fun doing the shows. Our fundraiser this year was held at Mama’s Pizza in Wellsville, which we hope to keep the tradition into 2021 season. We could not be happier with the support of Mama’s! Great food, and even better people! Then COVID hit, races were cancelled and postponed. June 12th we finally were allowed to race and we made our first start of the season at Linda’s. We struggled all year at Linda’s to get going in the right direction. After switching shock manufacturers and switching out carburetors it seem to change our luck around. Till we flipped going down the backstretch causing Jason to severely bruise his tailbone and sitting out 3 weeks of racing. We would return to racing at Path Valley Speedway after Jason got the ok to resume racing which would result in his first top ten of the year. We would end our season at Linda’s with a extremely competitive 270 micro sprints that were there to prepare for the National Open. We would end up having to go through the Bmain to qualify but we were faster, smooth, and more comfortable with the second car we put together. We ended the season learning a lot, taking a ton of notes, and preparing for 2021 season. This season might had a bunch of issues but we grew as a team and learned a lot! We would like to thank everyone that helped us through this entire season! Thank you to Touch of Color Flooring, Bill, Joe, Scott, Eugene, Ronnie and the entire staff, 717 Innovations, Bill Smith and Brie Hershey, RTS Chassis, Terry, Theresa, Kent, Richie, Dennis, Jim, Charlene, and Rob, DBY Motorsports, Dan, Inspired Memories, Sarah and Allison, Wing Dynamics, Jeff Rine, Precision Hydraulic & Oil, Joe Infante, Baker Graphics, Race Ready Ink, Chad Baker and Richie Dodson, Awesome Race Tees, Kevin Quirk, Hot Shoe Racewear, Allen Grace, Cammac Racing Supply, Tom Sigley, Mama’s Pizza, Ron Rutherford, Checkered Flag Media, Brad Gossert, Miller’s Racing Parts, Steph and Jake Jones, Snyder Web Design, Kirsten Snyder, Advanced Racing Suspensions, and Hoosier Tires. Special thanks to Bob Harron for all his knowledge and help this season, we couldn’t of turned this season around without his help! Huge thank you to my crew, and all of our friends for coming out to help and support us. Thank you to my beautiful wife Katelind and my crew chief Mason, my father-in-law Kevin, Tim Johnson, and Matt Trace. Thank you to everyone that came out to the fundraiser at Mama’s, purchased shirts and hats, and purchased subs from our sale. We are currently rebuilding already for 2021 and can not wait to get to Racing Xtravaganza 2021 to start our season!!!
